About
Janine Jansen (born 7 January 1978 in Soest) is a Dutch violinist. She performs regularly with leading orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra, and records exclusively for Decca Classics. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht and Co-Artistic Director of the Sion Festival. Since 2023 she has been a Professor of Violin Studies at the Kronberg Academy. She plays the 1715 “Shumsky-Rode” Stradivarius.
