About

JBS, born Jan Bennet Schemmer on 27 November 2005 in Ibbenbüren, is a German singer, songwriter and music producer. He started playing guitar at the age of five, moved into beat production in 2021 and initially performed as JBS Beats before shortening his stage name to JBS in 2023. His breakthrough came with the multi-million-streamed collaborations "Unendlichkeit" and "Vielleicht vielleicht" with MilleniumKid, the latter peaking at number 6 on the German charts. His genre-crossing sound blends new wave, synth-pop and indie rock, and he has since released tracks with Bausa ("Wegen dir") and Finch ("Das geht vorbei"), earning several gold and platinum certifications. His album "Zweitausendfünf" was released in 2026 on Warner Music.
