About
Jeff Cascaro (born 1968 in Bochum) is a German jazz and soul singer and trumpeter whose music is generally described as soul jazz. He won the national "Jugend jazzt" competition at the age of 18 and has worked as a professional musician ever since, performing with radio big bands such as the NDR Bigband and the RIAS Big Band and alongside artists including Till Brönner, Ute Lemper and Götz Alsmann. Since 2000 he has been professor of jazz voice at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar. His debut album "Soul of a Singer" (2006) was followed by "Mother and Brother" (2008), "Love & Blues in the City" (2017) and the live album "Pure" (2020). The album "Broadway and Beyond" (2026) gives his current programme its name; Cascaro lives in Berlin.
