Judith Hermann (born 1970 in Berlin) is a German author. Her debut short-story collection "Sommerhaus, später" (1998) brought her wide acclaim and was hailed as the "sound of a new generation." She went on to publish further story collections such as "Nichts als Gespenster" (2003) and "Alice" (2009), as well as the novels "Aller Liebe Anfang" (2014) and "Daheim" (2021). Her work has earned major literary prizes, including the Kleist Prize (2001), the Friedrich-Hölderlin-Preis and the Wilhelm Raabe Literary Prize (2023), and has been translated into many languages.
