Julius Fischer (born 1984 in Gera, raised in Dresden) is a German writer, slam poet and stand-up comedian. He studied history and German literature in Leipzig and has competed in poetry slams across the German-speaking world since 2004. With André Herrmann he formed the duo “Team Totale Zerstörung”, winning the German-language slam championship in 2011. He has published several books, including “Ich hasse Menschen”, and has written a column for Der Spiegel since 2023. His solo stage show “Ich hasse Menschen. Eine Fortpflanzung” tours German venues.
