Torsten Sträter (born 1966 in Dortmund) is a German comedian, cabaret artist, author and poetry slammer from the Ruhr region. He rose to fame through his dry, melancholic stage humour and his trademark beanie hat. A regular on TV shows such as "nuhr im Ersten" and "extra 3", he won the first German season of "LOL: Last One Laughing" in 2021. His work has earned him several German Comedy Awards and the Grimme-Preis in 2022. In NRW he performs live with programmes including "Es ist nie zu spät, unpünktlich zu sein".
