About
Max Uthoff (born 24 September 1967 in Munich) is a German cabaret artist and trained jurist. He studied law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and passed his second state examination in 2002 before beginning his career as a solo satirist in 2007. Since February 2014 he has co-hosted the ZDF satire programme Die Anstalt alongside Claus von Wagner. His work is known for its sharp critique of capitalism combined with social and environmental commentary. Among other honours, he received the German Cabaret Prize (2019) and the Bavarian Cabaret Prize (2020).
