Kayef (real name Kai Fichtner, born 20 November 1994 in Düsseldorf) is a German pop and rap musician. He started his career around 2009 on YouTube and derived his stage name from the initials of his given name. In 2014 he achieved his first chart success with "Nie wieder niemand" and released his debut album "Relikte letzter Nacht". Albums such as "Chaos" (2016) and "Modus" (2018) reached high positions in the German charts, with the single "Musik" becoming a breakthrough via TikTok. In 2019 he founded his independent label Kayef Media, and his 2020 single "Ich würd' lügen" became his most successful chart entry.
