Kehlani Ashley Parrish, known simply as Kehlani, is an American R&B singer, songwriter and dancer from Oakland, California. Kehlani first gained attention in 2011 as a member of the teen pop group PopLyfe, competing on America's Got Talent. After leaving the group, Kehlani self-released the mixtapes Cloud 19 (2014) and You Should Be Here (2015), both critically acclaimed and certified gold in the US. You Should Be Here marked Kehlani's first entry on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Kehlani has since become one of the defining voices of contemporary R&B and tours internationally, including shows in Germany.
