Kool Savas, born Savaş Yurderi in 1975 in Aachen, is a German rapper of Turkish descent. Active in the Berlin hip-hop scene since the mid-1990s, he first gained recognition with the groups M.O.R. and Westberlin Maskulin before launching a successful solo career. His albums include Der beste Tag meines Lebens, Aura, Märtyrer and KKS. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in German battle rap.
