Levellers are an English folk rock band formed in Brighton in 1988, taking their name from the 17th-century Levellers political movement. Their music blends folk rock with punk and Celtic rock influences. They broke through with the 1991 album "Levelling the Land", which entered the UK charts at number 14, and topped the charts in 1995 with "Zeitgeist". Known for songs such as "One Way" and "This Garden", they headlined Glastonbury in 1994 in front of an estimated 300,000 people. Since 2003 the band has run its own annual Beautiful Days festival in Devon and remains active, with recent albums including "Peace" (2020) and "Together All the Way" (2023).
