Manes Meckenstock (born 13 May 1961 as Jörg Friedrich Hermann Kempkes in Düsseldorf-Flingern) is a German cabaret artist, presenter and author. He rose to prominence through his satirical radio column on Antenne Düsseldorf, for which he adopted his mother's maiden name, Meckenstock. He gained nationwide recognition as a long-time field reporter on the WDR television show "Zimmer frei!". His Rhineland roots are a fixed component of his stage programmes.
