Martin Reinl (born 1975 in Mainz) is a German puppeteer, comedian, voice actor, author and director based in Cologne. In 2005 he founded the production company bigSmile Entertainment, for which he designs and builds his own puppets and serves as lead puppeteer. He became widely known through the dog character Wiwaldi on the WDR show 'Zimmer frei!' and as a puppeteer on the German 'Sesamstraße' (Sesame Street). On stage he tours with puppet improvisation shows such as 'Pfoten hoch!', 'Unter Puppen' and 'Puppen gucken'. His work in children's television has earned him several honors, including the Goldener Spatz award.
