Hennes Bender (born Hans-Günther Bender on 19 February 1968 in Bochum) is a German comedian, cabaret artist, voice actor and actor. After finishing school he studied theatre, film and television studies in Bochum, earning a master's degree in 1996. His stand-up material, shaped by the humour of the Ruhr region, has earned him honours including the German Comedy Award. Alongside his solo stage programmes he works extensively as a voice and radio-play actor and has adapted Asterix comics into Ruhr-German dialect. He has been performing across NRW and Germany for around four decades.
