Ingo Appelt (born 20 April 1967 in Essen) is a German comedian and cabaret artist. He has performed on German-speaking stages since the 1990s and became widely known for his sharp, often crude stand-up comedy and numerous television appearances. His shows typically revolve around everyday life, relationships and the battle of the sexes, delivered in an uncompromising Ruhr-region style. He tours theatres and cultural venues across Germany, including his home region of NRW, with solo programmes such as "Der Staatstrainer."
