Rüdiger Hoffmann (born 30 March 1964 in Paderborn) is one of Germany's best-known cabaret artists and comedians. He rose to fame in the early 1990s through the Quatsch Comedy Club and the sketch show RTL Samstag Nacht. His trademark is a deliberately slow, laid-back way of speaking and his signature opening line “Ja, hallo erst mal!”. His 1995 debut album Der Hauptgewinner went gold, followed by further gold-certified hits such as Asien. Asien. and Ich komme …!. He also appeared as the magic mirror in the German comedy films 7 Zwerge.
