Bülent Ceylan is a German comedian of Turkish-German descent, born in Mannheim in 1976, and one of the country's most popular stand-up and cabaret performers. He achieved national recognition from 2002 onward with his stage show "Döner for one," followed by successful programmes such as "halb getürkt," "Kebabbel net" and "Wilde Kreatürken." Performing in his native Kurpfalz dialect, he draws much of his humour from the everyday coexistence of Germans and Turks and life in his hometown of Mannheim. From 2011 to 2017 he hosted his own "Die Bülent Ceylan Show" on RTL and later appeared in entertainment formats including "The Masked Singer." His work has been honoured with awards such as the German Comedy Prize and the Bambi.
