Matthew Mole is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cape Town, South Africa, known for a folk-leaning alternative sound built on layered, self-produced arrangements. He released his debut EP 'You Did Well, Kid' independently in 2011 and won the Converse 'Get Out of the Garage' competition in 2012, after which he signed with Just Music. His 2013 debut album 'The House We Built' reached number one on the South African iTunes chart, making him the first South African artist to top that chart. He has continued to release music as a solo artist and tours in South Africa and internationally.
