About

Matthias Reuter (born 13 October 1976 in Oberhausen) is a German musical-cabaret artist and pianist from the Ruhr region. He studied German literature, history and philosophy, writing his master's thesis on the cabaret of the Weimar Republic. On stage he combines sharp, intelligent wordplay with virtuoso piano playing. His programmes have earned him numerous honours, including the Bielefeld Cabaret Prize, the Dresden Satire Prize and the Westfälisches Blindhuhn. His songs and texts have been featured on broadcasters such as Deutschlandfunk, WDR 2 and WDR 5.
