About
MUNA is an American electronic pop band from Los Angeles, formed in 2013 by Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin and Naomi McPherson while they were students at the University of Southern California. Their sound spans indie pop, synth-pop and dark pop, and all three members identify as queer. After releasing "About U" (2017) and "Saves the World" (2019) on RCA Records, the band signed to Phoebe Bridgers' label Saddest Factory Records, where they put out their acclaimed self-titled album "Muna" in 2022. Their 2021 single "Silk Chiffon" featuring Phoebe Bridgers became a breakout hit. In May 2026 the trio released their fourth studio album, "Dancing on the Wall".
