Odeal is a German-born British-Nigerian singer and songwriter whose music blends Afrobeats, R&B and UK rap and dance influences. He began writing and producing during his time at a boarding school in Nigeria, where he was drawn to artists such as Fela Kuti, Burna Boy and Wizkid. After returning to the UK in 2017 he became associated with the country's alté and Afro-fusion scene. His cross-cultural upbringing is a recurring theme in his soulful, genre-crossing sound.
