6LACK, born Ricardo Valdez Valentine Jr. in 1992, is an American R&B singer, songwriter and rapper. Born in Baltimore and raised in Atlanta, he broke through with his 2016 single "Prblms", his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album "Free 6lack" (2016), released via Love Renaissance and Interscope Records, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album and was certified platinum. His second album "East Atlanta Love Letter" (2018) peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, and his 2021 single "Calling My Phone" (featuring Lil Tjay) reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. A five-time Grammy nominee, he released his third album "Since I Have a Lover" in 2023.
