Placebo are a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1994 by singer-guitarist Brian Molko and bassist Stefan Olsdal. The band rose to international fame in the late 1990s with their androgynous image and songs such as "Nancy Boy" and "Every You Every Me". Their sound blends alternative rock with glam and electronic influences, anchored by Molko's distinctive nasal vocals. Placebo have released eight studio albums, most recently "Never Let Me Go" (2022), and have sold millions of records worldwide. They remain a celebrated live act, touring regularly across Europe.
