About

Porno Al Forno are a seven-piece party band from Düsseldorf, formed around the year 2000 by musicians who came out of the city's punk scene. Performing under stage names such as Fox, Mikko Leandros, Manni Montana, Greg Gardena and Terry Tabasco, they take German schlager, seventies hits and pop standards and push them through loud rock arrangements — David Hasselhoff's "Looking for Freedom" sits in the set next to the Düsseldorf drinking song "Altbierlied". Custom-made, deliberately garish costumes and a singalong crowd are part of the act. They play carnival parties, funfair tents and company events, and their Christmas show at the Stahlwerk has become a fixture in the local calendar.
