About

Raynes is a British-American trio made up of Mat Charley, Joe Berger and Mark Race. Charley and Berger grew up in North Dakota and met at college; they found their singer, Durham-born Mark Race, through a video on Instagram, and he soon flew to the US to join them. The band blends folk, Americana and baroque pop with Celtic touches and instruments from around the world, a mix they jokingly call "expensive folk". Their songs are built on layered vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar and piano, often with an unexpected instrument such as a bouzouki or a dulcimer. Their first full-length album is titled "Radio Remind Me".
