Sacred Reich is an American thrash metal band formed in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona. Their sound is marked by mid-tempo structures with punk and hardcore influences, and by lyrics focused on political and social commentary. The debut Ignorance (1987) and The American Way (1990) placed them among the leaders of the second wave of thrash metal. After a long hiatus, they returned in 2019 with the album Awakening on Metal Blade Records. The band is led by vocalist and bassist Phil Rind alongside lead guitarist Wiley Arnett.
