Testament is an American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California, formed in 1983 under the name Legacy. Guitarist Eric Peterson is the only remaining original member, with the current lineup also featuring vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio and drummer Chris Dovas. The band has released fourteen studio albums and is estimated to have sold over 14 million records worldwide. Testament is widely regarded as one of the defining acts of the Bay Area thrash metal scene.
