About
Megadeth is an American thrash metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine after his departure from Metallica. Alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, the band is considered one of the "Big Four" of thrash metal and is known for technically complex guitar work. Genre-defining albums such as "Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?" and "Rust in Peace" feature lyrical themes spanning war, politics, and religion. The band continues to tour internationally, including stops in Germany.
