Soen is a Swedish progressive metal band formed in 2010, founded by drummer Martin Lopez (formerly of Opeth) and vocalist Joel Ekelöf. Their music blends melodic, heavy and intricate elements drawn from progressive metal, progressive rock and alternative metal. Following their 2012 debut "Cognitive", they released a string of acclaimed albums including "Tellurian", "Lykaia", "Lotus", "Imperial", "Memorial" and most recently "Reliance". The group has earned a devoted international following within the progressive metal scene.
