Stevie Wonder, born Stevland Hardaway Morris in 1950, is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, shaping R&B, pop, soul, funk and jazz. His use of synthesizers in the 1970s reshaped contemporary R&B, and he conceived his albums as cohesive, often socially conscious statements. Over his career he has won 25 Grammys, and his 1976 album “Songs in the Key of Life” is among his best-known works.
