About

Suchtpotenzial is a German music-comedy duo founded in 2013 by pianist Ariane Müller (born 1980 in Ulm) and singer Julia Gámez Martin (born 1986 in Berlin). The two met in 2011 at Theater Ulm during the productions "The Rocky Horror Show" and "Hair". The duo blends pop, rock and chanson elements with sharp, humorous lyrics that frequently poke fun at gender roles and society. Suchtpotenzial has received several awards, including the Small Art Prize (Kleinkunstpreis) of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The pair tours the German-speaking world with their music-cabaret stage programs.
