The Slapstickers are a ska band founded in 1995 in Bruhl, Germany, originally performing under the name Skaracho. Drawing on influences such as The Busters and The Toasters, the large horn-driven lineup plays energetic, feel-good ska rounded out by a Hammond organ. They won the Toys2Masters band competition in 1998, which led to the release of their debut album, and had earlier opened for acts including The Toasters and Madness. The band celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015 and continues to perform regularly at festivals and its traditional Christmas concerts.
