Uche Yara (born Uchenna Yara Katzmayr) is an Austrian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer with Nigerian roots who grew up in Linz and now lives in Berlin. Music has been part of her life since childhood: she started with classical percussion, took up the electric guitar at 13 and soon began writing her own songs. Before her first official release she had already performed as a support act for The Rolling Stones in Vienna and for Bilderbuch at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. In 2024 she was named FM4 Soundpark Act of the Month, released her debut EP Golden Days and won the VUT Indie Award for Best Newcomer.
