Warhaus is the solo project of Belgian singer-songwriter Maarten Devoldere from Ghent, who first became known as a singer of the band Balthazar. He took the name from a tugboat on which he lived for several months while working on his debut, sailing the Dutch canals. His music is often compared to Leonard Cohen, with added influences from Tom Waits and Serge Gainsbourg's ballads. Warhaus albums include "Ha Ha Heartbreak", which revolves around a broken relationship, and "Karaoke Moon".
