The Protestant Christuskirche on Nohlstraße in Oberhausen was built in 1863/64 to designs by architect Maximilian Nohl, making it the oldest church building in the Alt-Oberhausen district. Damaged by fire in 1943, it was restored in 1950/51; since 2023 its congregation has been part of the newly formed Sophien parish.
