The Evangelische Stadtkirche Solingen was rebuilt between 1954 and 1956 after its predecessor was destroyed in the Second World War, and underwent a major renovation between 2012 and 2014 that earned it the 2015 Architecture Prize of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland. Alongside regular worship services, the church hosts concerts, including performances by the Neues Musikforum Solingen ensemble, which rehearses there.
