The motherhouse church of the Franciscan Sisters stands on Freiheit in Münster's St. Mauritz district, on the grounds of the order founded in Telgte in 1844 and based here since 1853. The original 1854 church building was destroyed in the bombing raids of October 1944 and later rebuilt. Besides the community's daily services, the church is also used as a concert venue, including as part of the Bachfest Münster.
