AnnenMayKantereit (often shortened to AMK) is a German pop-rock band from Cologne, founded in 2011 by Christopher Annen, Henning May and Severin Kantereit. The band's name is a combination of the three founding members' surnames. Their songs are predominantly performed in German, though they occasionally release English-language cover songs, and the group is known for the distinctive rough voice of singer Henning May. Starting out as street musicians, the band grew into one of the most successful German-language live acts. They regularly sell out large venues and headline festivals across the country.
