Aydın Işık is a Cologne-based cabaret artist, actor, director and writer. He studied economics at two universities in two countries but decided he would rather talk about the economic system than be part of it. Alongside the stage he works in film and television — including "Club der roten Bänder", "Marie Brand", the TNT series "Add a Friend" and İlker Çatak's feature film "Gelbe Briefe" — and directs his own short films. He hosts the Turkish-language programme "Cosmo Türkçe" on the broadcaster WDR Cosmo. His current solo show "Mein Dinner mit Gott" is a satirical evening in which he takes on humanity's big questions over dinner with the Almighty; he also performs the Turkish-language stand-up programme "5'i Bir Yerde" and the duo show "Nord-Süd-Gefühle".

The BORA in Duisburg brings Aydin Isik to the stage in April 2027 with his comedy show Mein Dinner mit Gott. The cultural venue otherwise also hosts poetry and concerts.
