Franziska Wanninger (born 1982 in Simbach am Inn) is a German cabaret artist, author and actress who grew up in the Altötting district of Upper Bavaria. After completing a teaching degree in German and English at the University of Regensburg, she turned to the stage and premiered her first solo programme in 2011. She performs mainly across Bavaria, including at Munich's Lach- und Schießgesellschaft and the Wirtshaus im Schlachthof. Together with Martin Frank she published the book Der famose Freistaat in 2020, which spent several weeks on the Spiegel bestseller list. Wanninger lives in Munich and also works as a podcaster.
