Christoph Maria Herbst (born 9 February 1966 in Wuppertal) is a German actor, comedian and voice artist who also narrates radio plays and audiobooks. He rose to wide fame for portraying the hot-tempered department head Bernd Stromberg in the comedy series Stromberg. That role earned him the Adolf-Grimme-Preis in 2006 and the German Comedy Award for best actor on several occasions. Beyond film and television he is a sought-after narrator and tours with stage readings across Germany, including his home region of North Rhine-Westphalia.
