Eivør Pálsdóttir, known simply as Eivør, is a Faroese singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in 1983 in Syðrugøta. Her music blends Nordic folk traditions with pop, electronic and experimental elements, and she sings in Faroese, Icelandic, Danish and English. She is noted for her powerful, expressive voice and her use of the frame drum. International audiences have come to know her through her contributions to film and video-game soundtracks, including the series The Last Kingdom. She tours regularly across Europe, including concerts in Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia.
