Eve (born Eve Jihan Cooper in 1978 in Philadelphia) is an American rapper, singer and actress. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the "First Lady" of the Ruff Ryders; her debut album "Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders' First Lady" (1999) topped the US Billboard 200. In 2002 she won a Grammy Award for "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", her hit collaboration with Gwen Stefani. With albums such as "Scorpion" (2001) and singles like "Who's That Girl?" and "Gangsta Lovin'", she became one of the defining voices of 2000s hip-hop. She has also built a career as an actress and TV host, including her own sitcom "Eve".
