HAUI is the stage persona of German entertainer Heinz-Peter Lengkeit, who performs as a loving “fake” of Schlager star Howard Carpendale. In his solo show „Spuren im Sand,“ he recounts Carpendale's life story through the singer's songs with humour and deep respect. He is accompanied on stage by guitarist Peter Engelhardt. Lengkeit has studied the original's mannerisms, gestures and movements down to the smallest detail, turning the parody into an affectionate homage. He tours theatres and stages across Germany with the programme, including the Schmidtchen Theater on Hamburg's Reeperbahn.
