About

J.B.O. (originally “James Blast Orchester“) is a German comedy metal band from Erlangen in Franconia, founded in 1989 by Vito C. and Hannes “G.Laber” Holzmann. The band became known for humorous parodies of well-known rock and pop songs, which they call “Blöedsinn.” In 1996 they shortened their name to J.B.O. after bandleader James Last threatened legal action over the original name. Since the 2000s they have released more of their own material and continue to tour regularly, mainly in German-speaking countries.
