About
Joji is the stage name of George Kusunoki Miller, a Japanese-Australian singer, songwriter and record producer born in Osaka in 1992. He first gained fame through comedy videos on YouTube under personas such as Filthy Frank and Pink Guy before fully transitioning to music in 2017. His melancholic blend of lo-fi, R&B and trip-hop is released through the label 88rising. His debut album "Ballads 1" (2018), featuring the single "Slow Dancing in the Dark," made him the first Asian-born artist to top the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. He followed with the albums "Nectar" (2020) and "Smithereens" (2022), the latter home to the viral hit "Glimpse of Us."
