Kanonenfieber is a black/death metal project from Bamberg, founded in 2020 by an anonymous musician known as "Noise". In the studio he records every instrument himself; on stage he is joined by a backing band that, like him, performs in uniform and masks. The German-language lyrics tell of the First World War and draw on letters, diaries and historical documents from the period. The debut album "Menschenmühle" was followed by several EPs and a second album, "Die Urkatastrophe". The band presents its concept as a documentation of the horror of war and explicitly distances itself from far-right ideas.
