Oliver Polak (born 14 May 1976 in Papenburg) is a German comedian, author and podcaster. The son of a Holocaust survivor, he draws on his German-Jewish identity in his stand-up comedy, which he began performing in 2006. In 2016 he hosted the late-night show "Applaus und Raus" on ProSieben, earning him the Grimme Award in 2017. He has written several books, including "Ich darf das – ich bin Jude" (2008) and "Gegen Judenhass" (2018), and appeared in the Netflix show "Your Life Is a Joke."
