About
Onyx is an American hip hop group from New York City, formed in the late 1980s. Built around Fredro Starr and later joined by his cousin Sticky Fingaz, the crew became known for a hard-edged, aggressive sound rooted in hardcore and gangsta rap. Following their early singles they went on to become a defining name in East Coast hardcore hip hop.
