Richard Cwiertnia is a German comedian, entertainer and content creator of Russian-Polish descent who grew up in Freudenstadt. As a self-styled “Ostblocklatino,” he parodies life in the Eastern Bloc on TikTok and Instagram, repeatedly playing characters such as the “Ostblock father” and “Ostblock mother.” He has more than a million followers on TikTok and over half a million on Instagram. In 2024 he released a cookbook with his grandmother Amalia titled “Oma, was kochst du da?”, and in 2025/2026 he is touring with his live stage show “Ostblock live.”
